Dukhan Road Cycling Race Draws 100 Competitors in Thrilling Showdown
The Dukhan Road Cycling Race saw the participation of nearly 100 male and female competitors in three different categories:
The Qatar Cycling and Triathlon Federation organized the Dukhan Road Cycling Race, which saw exciting competition with the participation of nearly 100 male and female competitors of various ages and abilities.
The race was held in Dukhan, one of the most prominent locations for cycling races due to its wide roads and distance from traffic congestion.
Competitors competed in three different categories: Category 1 (109 km), Category 2 (77 km), and Category 3 (51 km).
Competitors challenged themselves on a variety of trails, amidst an exciting and enthusiastic atmosphere.
The race began at 7:00 AM. The race featured multiple challenges in terms of terrain and distance, allowing participants to showcase their outstanding cycling skills.
The first category witnessed strong competition among the most prominent cyclists. Abdullah Masoumi of the Qatari team won first place with a time of 2:50:17 seconds. The second category witnessed a remarkable turnout of competitors of all ages, with the largest number of competitors. Aziz Haddaji of the Qatari team won first place with a time of 1:59:07. The third category witnessed a distinguished presence of young men and women aspiring to prove their abilities in this sport. Jared Navarra of the Doha Cycling Team won first place with a time of 1:50:34.
In his remarks, the President of the Qatar Cycling and Triathlon Federation, Eng. Abdulaziz Saud Al Tamimi, praised the great success of the race and the participation of this large number of competitors. He emphasized that the Dukhan Race is a wonderful opportunity to integrate our youth and junior national team players into the competitive categories of the race, as well as to organize cycling races in Qatar in areas outside the Qatari capital, Doha, and to promote the culture of sports in general. He added, "We are proud of the large number of participants in the Dukhan Race. The race was exceptional, with participants from all age groups. Through this race, we aim to support and develop cycling in Qatar and attract more participants."
Al-Tamimi continued, "The wonderful atmosphere and ideal weather contributed to the success of the event, and we believe that these races will contribute to further development of cycling in Qatar."
A number of competitors also praised the excellent organization of the race and the carefully prepared course, noting that the race was an ideal opportunity to compete in a professional environment.
