Qatar Cycling and Triathlon Federation Participates in 195th UCI Congress in Montreal

The Qatar Cycling and Triathlon Federation (QCTF) participated in the 195th Congress of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), held on 23 September 2026 in Montreal, Canada, on the sidelines of the 2026 UCI Road World Championships.

QCTF was represented by its President, Eng. Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Tamimi, who joined presidents and representatives of UCI-affiliated national federations from 117 countries around the world.

The Congress addressed a range of key strategic matters aimed at shaping the future of cycling internationally. Delegates reviewed the sport’s latest technical, administrative and financial developments, while host cities for forthcoming UCI World Championships through to 2034 were also announced.

The Congress also approved the admission of the Kiribati Cycling Federation, bringing the UCI’s global membership to 207 national federations.

QCTF’s participation in this major international gathering reflects its continued commitment to supporting the development of cycling worldwide and strengthening cooperation with national and continental federations. It also reinforces the State of Qatar’s growing presence and active role within the international cycling community.
