Qatar Cycling Team Wins Multiple Bronze Medals at Arab Championship
The Qatar national cycling team concluded its participation in the Arab Cycling Championship in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, with a series of impressive results, securing multiple bronze medals across men’s, women’s, and junior categories.
In the men’s events, Qatar claimed the bronze medal in the 48km individual time trial, with the United Arab Emirates taking gold and Iraq silver.
In the women’s events, Lulwa Al Marri achieved two bronze medals: one in the 20km individual time trial and another in the 58km individual road race. Amina Al Abdulmalek made an impressive international debut, further highlighting the development of Qatar’s women’s cycling programme.
In the junior categories, the Qatari team earned bronze in both the team time trial and the overall team classification of the junior individual race, reflecting the rising talent among the country’s young riders.
The championship featured nine Arab national teams and ran until 13 October 2025. Qatar’s delegation also formally acknowledged the efforts of the Iraqi Cycling Federation and the Arab Cycling Federation with plaques of appreciation.
The Qatar team will aim to build on these achievements in future regional and international competitions.
